How can we better use elements of the open culture to facilitate and nurture effective collaboration among individuals, organizations, and initiatives in the fields of non-formal education, making/STEAM and/or social innovation? Which new strategies, policies, and practices are needed to this end?
Our second DOIT Expert Meeting will be held in Berlin on the 26th of September 2019 at the premises of Wikimedia gathering professionals, experts, and policy-makers in an enriching exchange of ideas and best practices.

Confirmed speakers such as Christian Friedrich, Education, and Science Advisor at Wikimedia Deutschland; Maximilian Voigt from Knowledge Foundation Deutschland; Sandra Schön from Salzburg Research and Pam de Sterke, Project Manager at WAAG and SySTEM 2020 will focus on topics such as digital literacies, participation in society and openness; open culture and learning in and out of makerspaces; or open methods and collaboration enhancing non-formal STEAM among others.
This expert meeting is aiming at sharing and discussing various perspectives from experts on the field, needs & challenges and the best ways to address both as well as expanding the network of partners and stakeholders working on this topics. Case of studies, policy recommendations and best strategies for dissemination and exploitation will be gathered and shared.
